Review

This review applies to version 1.0 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

“Family Feud Holydays” is another edition of this famous series, which in turn is created after the famous TV show. As in previous editions, “Family Feud Holydays” makes you a contestant at a questions and answers TV show, in which you will be playing several rounds. When you enter the game, a pretty loud introduction is presented. It is like you are actually in the TV studio, with the public and all.
A pretty cool thing about this game is that it’s a multiplayer game, so if you like you can play it with family and friends. There are allowed up to two simultaneous players, because that’s the capacity of the show. Each player can represent a team, so there will be more people playing than just two. Of course, if you prefer you can play it alone and the other contestants are played by the computer. If you play in the solo mode, you compete against the average score in each question. In team mode you compete against friends or family.
The basic game you’ll be playing on the show is as follows. The show have surveyed one hundred people about some questions. The answers range from the obvious to the dumb. You have to guess the most popular answers. Just type the answer and click the submit button. According the number of people who answer the same, the amount of points you get. You have a few seconds to answer before you get a strike. If you don’t know what to type, just click on the No Answer button to skip the question. If you get no points on an answer, you get a strike. If you run out of time before typing the answer, you will get a strike. If you click the No Answer button, you will get a strike. When you get 3 strikes, the game is over for you. If you beat the average score in solo mode, or you beat your opponent’s score in team mode, you go on to the fast money round. In Fast Money round you get two chances to guess the top answer for each question. If you hit or exceed 200 points, you get the Fast Money bonus.
After the loud introduction commented at the beginning of this review, you get to the welcome screen with the following options on it:
- 1 Player: use this option to start playing in this mode.
- 2 Players or Team: use this option to start playing in this mode.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can configure some game settings such as music volume, sound volume, full screen, among others.
- Rules: it shows a card-style help information screen where you can learn the basics of the game.
- Quit: no further explanation required.
When you’re playing the game, you can always click on the MENU button to access to a pop-up menu with these options:
- Main Menu: to quit playing the game and return to the main menu.
- Options: to access the Options menu commented before.
- Rules: to access the help screen commented before.
- High Scores: to view the top records.
